Summary of the Slip and Fall Accident in Ft. Lauderdale

Before the incident, the plaintiff (Roger) was an experienced boat painter. While renting a space in a local boatyard to perform his painting work, Roger was using his ladder to paint the top of a boat. Suddenly, he fell from the ladder, nearly eight feet high. This unexpected fall was due to an uneven surface—a hole in the pavement that should have been attended to by the boatyard’s staff.
